Professional Medical Communications
The heart of a modern hospital is an efficient communications system, both internally, and with externally.  Our business is making sure that you have the communications tools required when you need them.

Wireless serves healthcare in a number of different ways. Our products and services provide the ability to communicate without wired connections. Basically, our services are categorized as On-Site one way paging/notification, 2-way On-Site communications, Access & Control and Wireless Notification. Additionally, there are two other very important categories - the HEAR system and associated recorders. We have provided a quick overview of our products and services below, or you can use the selection tabs at the top of the page for quick access to specific information.

Code Blue

Originally designed for direct wireless contact with emergency team, wireless paging now serves a variety of airtime free on-site wireless personal paging.  Click on the Code Blue button above for more information.

Fixed Stations

Fixed stations are used for communications between specific locations such as the security gate, reception desk, emergency room, maintenance office, transportation supervisor, and other locations throughout a modern hospital to communicate with personnel equipped with personal 2-way radio, to monitor and communicate with call boxes, access devices, equipment monitoring equipment and even between fixed locations many miles apart via the Internet and ROIP.  Check out our offerings by clicking on the Fixed Stations Link above.

HEAR Plus

Over 30 years ago, concerned federal and state agencies, hospital administrators, and participating manufacturers recognized a need for direct communications between patient transport vehicles, the emergency room, and other hospitals in times of emergency.  The system is a model for interoperability, disaster planning, and enhanced patient care.  Unfortunately, the system hardware is no longer supported by the original manufacturer.  That's the bad news.  The good news is a new generation product is available to upgrade existing systems to full compliance with applicable state codes.  Click on the HEAR Plus link above for more information.

HIPAA Radios

We don't have to tell you about HIPAA standards.  You already know them.  Unfortunately, some unethical or poorly informed communications suppliers have been selling consumer type radios for use in emergency rooms that comply neither with FCC or HIPAA standards.  They are not responsible for lack of compliance, YOU are!  We know HIPAA, and we know radios.  Call on us to help you make the right decision in selecting personal communications devices for use in your hospital.  An overview of three of our more popular 2-way radios is available by clicking on the HIPAA Radios link above.

Access & Control

Wireless Call Boxes provide an efficient and affordable means of communicating with visitors in parking areas, loading docks, and secured areas.  A basic call box allows direct 2-way communications between a visitor and security officers equipped with 2-way radios.  More advanced models allow your personnel to remotely open a gate or door, and our newest model allows keypad door or gate control by your personnel or regular visitors.  Check out our Access & Control devices by clicking on the link button above.

Notification Devices

Our newest family of products performs the function of notifying your personnel when action is required.  Some of these products allow visitors to announce their arrival directly to associated 2-way radios.  Others monitor devices, electrical power, pressure or other critical status activities.  You'll be amazed at what these very inexpensive devices can do for YOU!  Click on the Notification Devices button above for more information.

Aftercare Services

After the sale is made and the invoice is paid is when you find out the true character of a supplier.  What happens when you need service?  Do you get reasonable choices for selecting the best maintenance program to address your specific needs?  Will your supplier keep you appraised on news of interest relating to helping you improve utilization of your purchased product?  We do!  We have a Blog especially for our customers.  You can sign up at http://falconinfo.blogspot.com.  On the subject of service, we have a whole web page at www.ultracareplus.com dedicated to the subject.  We care about YOU!

Batteries and maintenance

A battery is just a battery, or is it?  Personally, we find batteries about as interesting as the manufacturing process for producing asphalt shingles.  However, what you don't know, or better yet, DO know can make a big difference in the cost of replacement batteries.  We don't claim to be the least expensive, or the most knowledgeable.  What we DO claim is a commitment to serving your needs as best we can.  For more information on our replacement batteries, please visit www.falcondirect.com/MyBattery.

Interoperability Planning

We cannot help but recall the instance where a major hospital was called upon to provide emergency services for a mass casualty incident involving only 30 persons.  This relatively small number of people completely overwhelmed the hospital's ability to effectively cope with what we would consider to be a small incident (at least in comparison to any number of potential large scale events).  Losing a phone system is a very real possibility either from a malfunction or natural disaster.  The list goes on and on of "What if's" but all too often the hospital has no effective backup plan to address the need for a contingency plan.  We will be glad to assist in developing a plan for your hospital.  There is no cost or obligation.  Just drop us an email to sales@falcondirect.com or give us a call at 205.854.2611.

Special Products

We offer some products that just don't fit a defined category.  For example, we offer a full line of communications logging recorders for use in the Emergency Room.  The purpose of such devices can range from operational compliance, better administrative records, and litigation avoidance.  Check them out at www.falcondirect.com/recorders.

Thanks for visiting with you.  We look forward to working with you!
